What is the fee to adopt during the Super Adoptathon?

Special Super Adoptathon Adoption Fees:

  • Cats (Over 5 months) $5.00
  • Kittens $20.00
  • Dogs (over 5 months) $50.00
  • Puppies $100.00.
What is the process to adopt?

The first step is visiting to our shelter and meeting all the wonderful companion animals available to go home today!  You will first complete our ASPCA Meet you Match survey to find which animal fits your lifestyle and needs best.  After completing the survey, walk through our shelter with your survey to find the perfect animal companion!  Once you've found your match, bring the animal’s cage card to the Adoptions Desk for information on the animal.  After you've received the history, health and behavior of the animal, you will meet the animal with an Adoptions Associate.  From that point on, the Adoptions Staff will process the adoption if it's a match!

We will have plenty of staff ready to assist you in the adoption process!

Are the animals spayed/neutered? What vaccinations have they had?

Yes.  All animals are vaccinated, neutered/spayed and tested for heart worm or feline leukemia.  All animals are parasite-free.  Each animal will go home with a collar and APL tag, along with a coupon for a free veterinary exam.  As an added bonus, each adopted animal will go home with a free collar, starter bag of food, personalized id tag, and tote bag filled with great gifts!

What follow up care is needed once I adopt?

Once you've adopted your new companion animal, you will receive a free veterinary exam to a local veterinary clinic in your area.  The exam is free for two weeks from the date of adoption.  We recommend that you take your newly adopted animal to the veterinary for a follow up visit.  This will get you and your companion animal acquainted with the vet for future visits.
